Description
Neoregelia is in the bromeliad family native to South America rainforest. Likes indirect more filtered light. Keep roots lightly moist, and replenish water in reservoir (center of the plant) every 10 days or more often in summer. Likes high humidity (50%). Feed monthly in spring and summer with high-phosphorus (low-nitrogen) fertilizer mixed at half strength. Feed leaves, roots and reservoir. Like all bromeliads, spreads by producing offsets around the base of the mature plants. After the mature plant has flowered, the mother plant will gradually die back as the pups will take over. These can be potted into separate pots.
