Description
Bring tropical flair to any space with a bamboo palm. This rugged palm is perfect in a bright window. It can even do well in a north facing light. Avoid direct afternoon sun. Its slender trunks resemble bamboo thanks to the rings around the trunks. They like to remain constantly moist but do not tolerate standing water. A good watering once a week should be sufficient. Before watering let tap water sit in an open container overnight to eliminate chlorine. Use well drained soil and give enough room to grow. If root-bound transplant to a larger size pot.
Leaf burn appears when high salts build up in soil. Replace soil or leach with water. Likes humidity. Benefits from misting in winter.
