By placing Better Than Rocks™ on the bottom of your containers you'll help ensure your success with container gardening. The mesh inserts help oxygen reach the roots by forming a pocket of air at the bottom of your container which is necessary for plants to absorb their nutrients. Additionally, the inserts create a space for drainage. Without proper drainage, containers will get waterlogged & over time the plant roots will rot causing plant death.
